What is Public Holidays?

It's a shortcut that you can run on your Apple device to create a calendar with the public holidays of the country you're currently in.

It makes use of your location to extract the country you're in.

It uses the REST Countries API

It uses the Nager.Date Public Holiday API

Installation

• Download the Public Holidays shortcut if you don't already have it.

• Open the downloaded shortcut if it doesn't open automatically. The shortcut will be imported into your library.

Running

• The shortcut runs from the Shortcuts App.

• If it runs successfuly a message will appear notifying you that the calendar is ready.

• If you don't like the outcome, delete the newly created calendar and run it again.

• Running it a second time with the same options, will create duplicate entries in the calendar.
